Is it dangerous to fly in a DH8 plane

Is it dangerous to fly in a DH8 plane?
I'm flying to Virginia within the next week and one of my flights is on a DH8. The others are on a 734 and an M80. How dangerous is it to fly on a DH8? What about the other planes? Is there anything that would help conquer an intense fear of flying?

DH8 is a Dash-8 and those planes are fine, they're just smaller propeller planes. The main difference is that because they're smaller they don't have overhead bins so you have to gate-check any larger carry on items (that means you basically drop them off as you get on the plane and they take them off right away as you get off, you don't have to go through baggage claim). They're also a lot louder than a normal jet. A 734 is a 737-400, pretty standard jet. An M80 is an MD-80, older but still reliable. You don't really have much to worry about. These models of planes all fly hundres or thousands of times a day all over the world without incident.
