Six Flags Great Adventure, newbie to rollercoasters!

Six Flags Great Adventure, newbie to rollercoasters!?
ok, i haven't been on many coasters. i have been on Rock and Roller coaster and Big thunder in Disney world. and in King's Dominion in Virginia I went on Shockwave, Flight of Fear, and Stunt Coaster. Any advice on what coaster to start off with in Six flags Great Adventure? My BFF got a free ticket and she's taking me tommorrow. I HATE big drops, so no nitro or kingda ka for me. THANKS FOR THE ADVICE!

Superman is a good start. Exciting, but a really smooth ride, unlike some of the older coasters. You should at least consider Kingda Ka. I stood in line for over 3 hours for that ride, and it was worth it. That's how fun that ride is. It's over so quickly, you won't even realize how scared you are :)

First off, you should check out this site which has pictures and info on all the coasters at Six Flags Great Adventure. You can check out each coaster and see if it's right for you or not! Great resource: http://rcdb.com/pd6.htm Some coasters that don't drop too much and should be in your range are as follows: Dark Knight Great American Scream Machine Batman the Ride Medusa Skull Mountain ...maybe Rolling Thunder? Just try out Kingda Ka or Nitro. They really are worth it, those are some amazing coasters you just can't miss! And if you think the drops are too gnarly for you, just sit in at least the 3 first rows. They have very little "airtime" (that butterfly feeling) at all. I hope that helped, have a great time!
