how many hours does it take to fly from california to virginia non stop flight?
me and my boyfriend have a bet going i say that it takes the same amount of time to get to virginia as it does to get to florida or new york he says it takes like 8 hours i say 4 or 5 non stop

You are correct. the average flight time from CA to VA is about 4 and a half hours, if you are flying from Los Angeles to Washington DC. The flight time from Los Angeles to Miami, Florida is about 15 minutes longer than to DC.

i am a flight attendant and regularly work flights from california (oakland, long beach and sacramento) to dulles which is in virginia. in the winter time with good tailwinds, we usually make it between 4:05 to 4:30. in the summer time when there aren't really jetstream winds to push us faster, it's anywhere between 4:30 to 5:00. i have done long beach to ft. lauderdale before anywhere from 4:30 to 3:55. it seems to be consistently like that both winter and summer. from my experience, going from west coast to virginia has always been a bit quicker than going to new york by at least 30 minutes. u win. make him buy u jewelry because he lost.
