What are my chances to getting into Virginia Tech

What are my chances to getting into Virginia Tech?
I'm a junior in high school. I've maintained a 4.0 gpa all years so far. Freshman schedule: Honors English I, Honors Algebra II, Honors Biology, Honors World Cultures, Accounting, AFJROTC. Sophmore: Honors English II, Honors Geometry, Honors Chemistry, Honors US History, French II, AFJROTC. Junior: Honors English III, AP Statistics, Honors Probability and Statistics, Physics, AP US History, French III, AFJROTC. Senior year would probably look like: Either AP/Honors English IV or Mythology, Trigonometry and Pre Calculus, Astronomy, French IV, Some Visual Arts, AFJROTC, Public Speaking. I play Varsity Soccer (senior year I will be captain), played JV wrestling, volleyball, track. I'm in World Language Honors Society and NHS. I play a huge role in my ROTC unit. I've been to summer leadership school for the Tri-state region and was the first freshman in my school to receive the single Honor Graduate Award out of 200 cadets from 6 other schools. The second time I went, I was a flight commander and placed 2nd and 3rd in two competitions. Last year I will be part of the command staff. As for my unit in school, I've been director of Logistics, Cadet of the Year, Multiple achievements, and will be in command of the whole unit my senior year. I do a lot of community service and volunteer work as well. When I take the SAT, I plan on getting around a 2000. How are my chances to getting into Virginia Tech for civil engineering? I want to enroll in the Corps of Cadets and Army ROTC. Also, what are my chances for receiving a full-tuition ROTC scholarship? Thanks for reading

It sounds like you have a good chance of getting into tech if you manage to keep up your grades. But also remember there are school quotas and sometimes even the best students don't make it. Full-tuition ROTC scholarships are something you want to start looking at NOW. Ask your CO of JROTC about the opportunities. They have to be applied for of course, but the military is always looking for the best. after rotc scholarship you will be required to serve 4 years, and 1 or 2 years reserves. Tech doesn't accept based on Major, they accept you likely undecided first. Then you apply to the school of engineering after you have met the requirements to enter the school. Usually you need to finish a good amount of general education courses before you are able to formally declare a major. I would suggest get your SAT out of the way as soon as possible, and start your application process early. try to get early admission, and you are guaranteed to be in the school right after senior year. Also, go see your guidance counselor about scholarships and read the requirements for each one. The ROTC scholarship is good because it gives you a little spending money and pays for everything. and you seem like you want to join the military so GO FOR IT. Good Luck!

I guess it's ok. Only problem is I wouldn't consider that a rigorous schedule. 4 AP total and you're taking AP Statistics and honors statistics at the same time? Klg.

Those are fairly impressive stats, and I don't think you're going to have any problem getting accepted to the university. You're a junior, so you have a lot of time to think about college and change your mind. Wherever you apply, I'd like to wish you good luck. As for the Corps of Cadets, I know quite a bit about it as I'm a Cadet here at VT and enrolled in Army. The best thing you could right now would be to apply for the Spend the Night program and shadow a Cadet for a day/night and attend one of our Army 0520 PT sessions to see if you really want to join. It's a great way to visit the campus and get a small taste of what our lives are like in the Corps/Army. Some advice on the scholarship: Speak directly with the scholarship officer here in the Army department as soon as you can. He's your best bet for getting one and the sooner you get the process started the better off you are. If you have any questions feel free to ask and I'll find a way to get you my email address. I'd rather not post it on here.
