Mensa puzzle help.

Mensa puzzle help..?
Can you help me solve these questions and explain how you got the answer?!? 1.) At an airport 8 people are waiting for a flight to Virginia, 103 are going to Illinois and 152 are waiting to fly to California. How many are waiting for a flight to Texas? 2.) A number of companies in US cities took part in a fun day. In Las Vegas 45 companies took part, in Annapolis 49 took part and in Kansas City 99 companies took part. Hoe many companies in Charleston took part? Please no comments saying "I don't know." Only really answers please. Thank you very much!

There isn't enough information given to determine an answer.

at least one for both questions

not enough info

Part one is a question based on roman numerals - I = 1, V = 5, and so on. "Virginia" contains the Roman numerals V, I, I, and I, which together add up to 8, which is the same number as the people waiting for the flight. "Illinois" contains L, L, I, I and I. Each L is 50, and each I is 1 for a total of 103. California has C (100), L (50) and 2 I's (2) for a total of 152. "Texas" only has 1 letter that is a Roman numeral. X = 10. I'm guessing 10 people are waiting for a flight to Texas. In question 2, one Roman numeral seems to be subtracted from the other. "Las Vegas" has an L (50) and a V (5). 50 minus 5 = 45. "Annapolis" has an L (50) and an I (1). 50 minus 1 = 49. "Kansas City" has a C (100) and an I (1). 100 minus 1 = 99. So, for "Charleston" we have a C (100) and an L (50). So I would guess 100 minus 50, or 50 companies in Charleston.
