Is moving to Nashville, TN a good choice

Is moving to Nashville, TN a good choice?
I have been thinking about moving someplace else to achieve an easier life. For right now I am living in Seattle, which i am having a hard time getting a full time job as well as finding an apartment of my own. I have been living in Seattle for 3 years thus far and I really don't see a light at the end of the tunnel right now. A friend I know in Madison, TN is willing to help me move to Nashville if I want to do so. I will be in the South and not that seriously far from my mother and sister who lives in West Virginia (a flight out that way isn't a big deal to me). I have never been in TN before so are public transportation, jobs and etc. good (or at least decent) there then I might consider it next year.

I don't live in Nashville but have been to Nashville 6 times...it is a nice area but not a big city type area (I'm from New York so...). Whenever I visit, it doesn't seem like there is much to do. I would think Seattle is better than Nashville. I would visit before I move there, just so you can see the area.

Nashville is a wonderful city to visit and live in. I suggest you come for a visit before making up your mind to move. You can get a better feel for the place, the public transportation, jobs, etc. With a friend here, that is a great plus in showing you around. Best of luck. P.S. I love visiting Seattle, but I'd rather be in Tennessee.

there aren't any huge attractions anymore, really. we have nice parks and rec areas, country music hall of fame, lane motor museum, the midnight jamboree, even band music in the park (for free).....there are fun and interesting things to do, if you like tracking them down to find them, usually at good cost or even free sometimes. there are good stores, shops, and nicer places to eat as well. Also, there are fun 24-hour hangouts like Cafe CoCo as well. Apartments are reasonable rent, and you could even find houses for rent or even a lease-purchase program. a visit would be a good first step - i agree with the other "answerers". -DHTn
