Sometimes the airlines themselves will...try contacting the airlines that fly out of/into the places you need to get her to. (It won't be free, but a discounted rate)

Military - check the USO. Otherwise, try through the airline. Can also try the Red Cross.

http://www.dmoz.org/Society/Philanthropy/Organizations/Medical_Relief/Health_Flights/ i know this is for sick people, but sometimes if you call one of the numbers, someone can point you in the right direction. http://www.aircareall.org/ good luck

I work for a major airline and although we do offer special fares for family members of someone who has passed away, they are not always as inexpensive as you'd think (or like). They are, however, discounted over the last-minute fares you'd pay otherwise. Most people think that when they call and ask for these fares that they will be getting the lowest possible fare - but that's not usually true. Other than calling the individual airlines directly I don't know of any other agencies that help in situations like this. Sorry!

Most carriers offer bereavement fares. Due to the short notice involved with emergency situations fares are often very high. Bereavement fares are often much less than other last minute fares, but they aren't necessarily dirt cheap. If she has a religious affiliation, perhaps her congregation may be willing to pick up the fare. I offer my sincere condolences. As a starting point, may I suggest calling American Airlines at 1-800-433-7300 to inquire as to what bereavement fare may be available. Best Regards, AAgent
